Exchange program “Mevlana”

The aim of the program "Mevlana" is the exchange of students and teachers between Turkish universities and universities in other countries.  Students may study abroad for one (minimum) or two (maximum) semesters. Teachers can lecture abroad for two weeks (minimum) to three months (maximum).

The programme provides scholarships to selected students and teachers.

Requirements for participation in the Mevlana exchange Program

For Students:

• Not be involved in the early exchange programs Mevlana;

* Speak English or Turkish*;

* Applications without proof of Turkish or English language proficiency will not be accepted (TOEFL/IELTS international certificate, etc);

• Grade point average (GPA): bachelors - not less than 2.5 on a 4.0 point scale; MA, PhD, is not less than 3.00 on a 4.0 point scale;

Teachers:

• Not be involved in the early exchange programs Mevlana;

* Good level of foreign language skills*;

* Applications without confirmation (certificate) of knowledge of Turkish or English will not be accepted;

* the teacher must give at least 6 hours of lectures per week*;

For teachers, the Mevlana program provides for lectures in English paid by the Turkish side at least 6 hours a week. Teachers who do not intend to give lectures at Turkish universities cannot participate in the program.

List of required documents

 Students:

• Master Course student of the 1-2 Year of Study
• Application form of the candidate student (the form is available);
• Transcript of records
• Certificate of international standard of English proficiency (TOEFL / IELTS, etc.) or certificate of Turkish proficiency;

Teachers:

• Teacher information questionnaire;
• Certificate of proficiency in English or Turkish;
• Completed CV summary, scientific publications and portfolio with all necessary documents.
