The delegation included representatives of the ministries of agriculture and health, as well as the representatives if Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Tashkent Medical Academy, Andijan State Medical Institute, Samarkand State Medical Institute, Bukhara State University, Tashkent Agrarian University, the Nukus branch of Tashkent Agrarian University and the University Nukus State University.

From 3 to 11 September 2014, the first training in Europe for the specialists from Uzbekistan in the framework of the Tempus project «UZHELTH». Project participants from Uzbekistan in the direction of "medicine, ecology, agriculture and food safety" visited the partner universities in Ghent and Porto.
On Wednesday, September 3, 2014.The participants  arrived at the airport in Brussels (Belgium), and in the evening of the same day to the city of Ghent (Belgium). In the evening a dinner hosted on behalf of the University of Ghent, in which, besides the Uzbek delegates attended by representatives of the University of Pisa (Professor Katherine Isaacs, Laura Burgisano), representatives of the University of Ghent (Professor Dirk Avons, the head for the International Department of the University of Gent  Mrs. Delfin). In an informal setting, the sides exchanged views on the current status of the project.
In the Thursday, September 4 2014. In the morning the participants of the project  visited the campus of the University of Ghent and prof. Dirk Avons acquainted them with the work of the Department of Public Health and Primary Health Care of the  University of Ghent. Prof. Dirk Avons prepared the presentation on \"The teaching and study of primary health at the Gent University: current state, problems and prospects\". Prof. Avons on the example of their practical experience briefed participants on the methods of teaching the subject of public health, as well as on the ongoing activities of Ghent colleagues. Prof. D.Avons in the detailed presentation of the key tasks of public health in Belgium: 1) monitoring the status of social and health problems, 2) identification of health problems and risks. 3) Education of people in health care, 4) social mobilization, 5) planning interventions, 6) regulation at the level of legislation, 7) A constantly health service and highly specialized medical care, 8) competent medical services, 9) Assessment of the quality of medical services 10) Research on the adoption of innovative solutions.
Including at the national level (scientific, statistical, social projects). During the presentation, the discussion was conducted with Uzbek partners.
After lunch, a visit to the center of the project participants Alderman on Environmental Protection and Public Health.
Then was organized with the participation of a representative of the city administration, responsible for residential quarters held exploratory campaign of project participants in the various areas of Ghent, which in practice are implemented social projects of the type \"Living Street\", in which the residents of Ghent, with the participation of the city administration Plant for a quarter, build playgrounds, get rid of parking inside the yard, build bike paths, and organize educational, spiritual and cultural and recreational activities for the residents of the quarter.
A lively discussion with a representative of the City Hall Uzbek delegates and conclusions were drawn about the possibility of the introduction of social projects of the type \"a lively street, living quarter, a lively city\" in Uzbekistan, with the Belgian model.
On Friday, 5 September  - the project participants visited  the Public Health Centre in Botermarkte (Botermarkt). It is a hub of social support to citizens. Functions of the Centre are to provide consulting services on finding housing for those in need of Belgian citizens in the prevention of diseases in the center organizes special courses of social support to vulnerable groups. Such as computer courses for seniors and the like, at the center of a canteen, which come officially registered needy Belgian citizens - they offer breakfasts, lunches and dinners at low prices. The visit of the participants of the project to the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Health Care of Ghent. Head of the Centre made a presentation on the structure of the Belgian health and on existing achievements and challenges in this area. At a meeting attended by delegates of Uzbekistan, as well as colleagues from several Australian universities. The speaker elaborated on the structural and organizational model of the Belgian health care system, and noted in particular that the primary health care to residents of Belgium is at a high skill level at the expense of public funds.
Then the participants got acquainted with the divisions of the Center for Family Medicine, which, along with outpatient services has mainly preventive care to citizens. So, at the Center include vaccination cabinet, mother and child, where mothers are taught techniques of general child care, there is a club for expectant mothers, have a laboratory. In the center of the project works \"Kitchen\", where patients (e.g. diabetics) teach practical cooking diet dishes. There are rooms for the schools diabetics, hypertensives, etc.
At lunchtime visit of the participants in the Center Gapro in Antwerp, it is in the so-called non-privileged city districts. There are medical services in Belgium legalized commercial sex workers: made combating sexual trafficking, conducted outreach activities of social and medical issues. Are vaccinated, such as hepatitis and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, provide free anonymous AIDS testing, providing services for employment and women adapting to the normal aspects of life.
In the evening a visit to the project participants in Antwerp City Hall, where they were met by a representative of the local administration, briefly familiarized with the existing achievements of the city administration, in particular in the field of environmental protection. Then Head of Sector for Environmental Protection at the municipality of Antwerp made to the participants report on the protection of the environment in the city of Antwerp. In particular, he briefed the delegates with some statistical and epidemiological data, the structure of the municipal service for the Environment, with the existing problems and issues of their solutions. In particular, with the support of the municipal services in the city are built environmentally friendly tram lines, bike paths, in every area of the city established indicators of air pollution in the city center banned entry of vehicles, to the owners of vehicles that pollute the atmosphere, imposed heavy fines, etc.
In Saturday, September 6, 2014 There was organized the visit to familiarize the participants with the implementation of the municipal environmental project \"Living Street\". In order to be less dependent on cars, residents of one of the city streets have decided to conduct an experiment. This month do only alternative means of transportation. For example, to go to work on the (electric) folding, shopping on a tricycle, as well as the services of delivery of purchases to your home. All this allows you to save the local budget and make the city environmentally friendly. Project participants have visited and other streets where faded fence between the park and the street where the street is located a chicken coop where everyone street residents may wish to prepare a spontaneous street barbecue where the squares are grand and anyone can go up to him and play it . City Hall and various city services are also important partners of the project.  Sunday, September 7, 2014  The members of the project went on the plane to Portugal, Porto and housed in a local hotel.
In the Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Institute of Public Health at the University of Porto (Portugal), a plenary session with the participation of delegates from the University of Pisa (Italy), University of Ghent (Belgium), University of Mithras (Slovakia), the University of Porto (Portugal). After lunch the project participants led by prof. Enrique Barroso visited the departments and centers of the Institute of Public Health at the University of Porto participants acquainted with the principles of the course, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral studies in the training of doctors, nurses, dietitians, laboratory technicians. Tuesday, September 9, 2014. In the morning a visit to the School of Medicine at the University of Porto was held to familiarize with the departments, centers, library.
Then heard presentations professors and heads of various medical centers in Porto.
he first presentation was made by the representative of the International Department of the University of Porto with the presentation of the university. In particular, the University of Porto in the rating system of high schools ranked 1st in Portugal, is in the top hundred universities in Europe (especially the Faculty of Medicine), about 300 in the world, the University was founded in the 18th century, has three bases, 14 faculties, business school. University School of Medicine is the most prestigious in Portugal, there are training courses for bachelors, masters and doctoral courses. The University works closely with other European universities, in particular in the framework of Erasmus, Tempus, at the university a lot of foreign students, particularly from Africa, Brazil, and established links with other universities in the world. The following report was presented by the representative of the Polytechnic University of Porto. She talked about within the existing University Graduate School of Medical Technology. In this school, preparing medical technicians with higher education are in high demand in the field of radiology, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, etc., that is, in almost all areas rapidly in recent interventional medicine, which requires professionals to manage the latest medical equipment and laboratories. After lunch, a visit to the primary health care centers, where preventive measures are carried out to a high standard with the use of innovative technologies. By members of the center have been reported as well as the center of the Health in the city of Porto.
On Wednesday, September 10 2014. The project participants were divided into 2 groups: representatives of the agricultural sector visited the Veterinary department for the  management and food safety management at the regional level. And representatives of the health sector Sao Joao visit the clinic, in particular, they were interested in the questions of control on the infectious diseases such as AIDS, hepatitis, viral diseases, monitoring of patient safety and occupational health issues.
After lunch, a visit to another clinic - Gaia. And then there was a meeting of the project participants with the Vice-Rector for International Relations Ms. Maria Fatima Marinho (Mariade Fatima Marinho) of the University of Porto. In the form of presentation of the Vice-Rector of the University informed the participants of the project with the structural divisions of the University, then handed the meeting participants brochure about the University.
The same evening, a reception was held in the project participants UZHELTH City Hall of Porto. Guests greeted Deputy Mayor of the city, who noted the importance of the project and possible prospects of implementing joint Uzbek-Portuguese educational projects. The two sides exchanged gifts. Deputy Mayor gave participants a book about the art of Portugal.
In the Thursday, September 11, 2014 flight Porto-Lisbon and Istanbul Tashkent project participants returned to Uzbekistan.
