About the visit of the participants of the Tempus project UZHELTH in Andijan (from 11 to 13 June 2015) and Samarkand (14-15 June, 2015)


In the current meetings in the framework of the Tempus project UZHELTH included representatives of the ministries of agriculture and health (Samarkand), as well as representatives of the Tashkent Pediatric medical Institute, Tashkent Medical Academy, Andijan state medical Institute, Samarkand state medical Institute, Bukhara state University Tashkent agrarian University, Nukus branch of the Tashkent Agrarian University and the Nukus state University. From European partners was attended by representatives of the University of Pisa (Italy), Porto University (Portugal) and the Agricultural University of Nitra (Slovakia).

Participants from Tashkent pediatric medical Institute:
1. Ashirbaev Sh.P. – Director of the Innovation Center of Tashkent pediatric medical Institute;

2. Vikhrov I.P. – a leading specialist of the Innovation Center of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Higher Education reform Expert of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education and the National Erasmus+ Office.


The main goal of the meeting was intended to bring the research results of public consultations held in the framework of the project to common sense in order to determine specific competences in the field of medicine, agriculture, veterinary medicine and ecology. It was also Included the discussions of current and future plans for the project. This included the following topics: 1) finalization of a publication on key benchmarks for curriculum development in their field of expertise; 2) development of a pilot training course on public health; 3) Consultation with relevant ministries on the establishment of sectoral qualifications frameworks in the field of healthcare and public health; 4) Development of a content part of the future information platform for public health; 5) Evaluation of the pilot student mobility; 6) preparation for the next meeting in the framework of the project in one of the European partner universities and organizations second mobility for students from Uzbek universities.

In general, the meeting in Andijan and Samarkand were very fruitful. The consortium of the project commended the achievements of the project as a whole. Implementation of the tasks under the project goes according to plan.
