Uzbekistan and Belarus concluded an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual recognition of education documents, training documents

The agreement on mutual recognition of educational documents was signed in Minsk on August 1, 2019, during the talks led by President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyоyev and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

The signing of this Agreement will further contribute to the further development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education, as well as the strengthening of mutual understanding and friendship between the Uzbek and Belarusian peoples.

In recent years, the cooperation in the training of qualified personnel has been developing rapidly. Since 2018 the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank and the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami, as well as the joint faculties of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics and the Tashkent University of Information Technology named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi have worked successfully.

In the 2018/2019 academic year, 195 students are studying joint degree programs in three universities in collaboration with reputable Belarusian universities. In the new academic year, it is planned to jointly train 18 universities.
