On May 5, 2018, within the framework of the international cooperation of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and the work on attracting leading foreign medical specialists in the process of training medical personnel, the delegation of the St. Vincent Hospital of the Catholic University of Korea headed by Professor Pak Dong Chun visited the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute.

The delegation included: Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the St. Vincent Hospital of the Catholic University of Korea, Professor Pak Dong Chun, Professor Li Sunjong, young specialists from obstetrician-gynecologists Kim Suyun and Gen Yuki.

During the visit, a bilateral meeting was held with the leadership of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, where issues of cooperation between the two medical institutions, the opportunities for academic and clinical training of young specialists and teachers of TashPMI in St.Vincent Hospital, the implementation of educational programs at the graduate level, the visits of South Korean professors and specialists in TashPMI, prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation, etc. were discussed.
Also, the program of the visit included lectures of specialists from the St.Vincent Hospital of the Catholic University of Korea (Suwon, South Korea) - Professor Park Dong Chun and Professor Li Sunjon.

After the negotiations, at 10:00 in the Conference Hall of the Information Resources Center of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute a seminar on surgical gynecology was held with the participation of guests from the Republic of Korea, where topical issues of surgical gynecology were discussed.
In particular, Professor Pak Dong Chun spoke about robot surgery in gynecological practice, Professor Li Sunjong gave a lecture on the importance of minimally invasive surgery in gynecology and Professor Jahongir Kurbanov spoke at a seminar on the topic of preventing complications of gynecological surgery.

In addition, following the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and the St. Vincent Hospital at the Catholic University of Korea (Suwon, Korea).

The Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation will allow effective development of partnerships through joint projects in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, joint research and educational activities, training of medical personnel, research and academic cooperation, organization of joint patient examinations, development and introduction of telemedicine, carrying out joint minimally invasive operations with the help of robots.
