Pursuant to cooperation agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoev to the Republic of Korea, as well as the signed documents providing for the further strengthening of bilateral relations in various spheres, including healthcare, promoting raise to a new level of relations between the two countries, 2-5 June 2018 a leading South Korean specialist, Professor Yoon Joohee visited Tashkent pediatric medical institute.
The visit of the South Korean specialist took place within the framework of the previously signed Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Tashkent pediatric medical institute and the Catholic University of Korea St. Vincent Hospital, during the visit of the Catholic University of Korea St. Vincent Hospital’s delegation led by Professor Pak Dong Chun to the Tashkent pediatric medical institute in May 2018.
In particular, Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Oncogynecology of the St.Vincent Hospital (Province of Kyonkido, Suwon City), Mr. Yoon Joohee, who is the chief specialist in the field of cervical cancer in the province of Kyonkido and a strong innovator in surgical gynecology, visited the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of TashPMI.
As planned, during the visit, a meeting of a foreign specialist with the leadership of the Tashkent pediatric medical institute took place, where the parties thoroughly discussed topical issues of further development and deepening of bilateral relations, and also exchanged views on the opportunities and prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation.
Also, the lecture session of a South Korean specialist for doctors, teachers and students of TashPMI was included in the program of the visit.
In addition, within the framework of the visit, a master class of the operation "Single port laparascopy" was conducted at the clinic of the Republican specialized scientific and practical medical center of obstetrics and gynecology (RSSPMC OBG).
