In Uzbekistan, the first rating of higher educational institutions was published. It is compiled by the State Inspectorate for Quality Supervision of Education under the Cabinet of Ministers in conjunction with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education.

In the rating formed on the basis of 23 indicators, 57 universities are participating (branches of foreign universities do not participate). The study was conducted in March-June. Taking into account such indicators as the level of knowledge of students and graduates, the quality of teaching and methodological work and education, the teaching staff and research activities, as well as the material and technical security and the level of implementation of ICT.

According to him, the rating of medical higher education institutions is published:

1. Tashkent Medical Academy
2. Tashkent State Dental Institute
3. Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute
4. Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute
5. Samarkand State Medical Institute
6. Andijan State Medical Institute
7. Bukhara State Medical Institute
