July 3-20, 2018, during the action held by the "Society of Youth Volunteers of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute", in cooperation with local self-government bodies, volunteers from Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute conducted patronage and medical examination of the residents of the mahallas "Uvaysiy", "Yurtobod" "and" Bobodekhon "of Yunusabad district of Tashkent city.
Volunteers were trained before entering the field. In order to maintain close contacts and dialogue with the people, and to provide assistance in finding solutions to medical and social problems that bother citizens, training sessions for volunteers were held. The speakers of the training sessions for volunteers were professors and teachers of TashPMI. At the training, the attention of volunteers was directed to the socially vulnerable segment of the population (invalids, veterans of war and labor, single citizens of old age).
At the end of the training sessions, the volunteers traveled to the local places - in the mahalla of the Yunusabad region, using special "volunteer cars".
These days, medical volunteers together with representatives of the mahalla "Uvaysiy", "Yurtobod" and "Bobodekhon" visited the homes of several residents of these mahallas for preventive work, health education and medical examination.
Residents of the Yunusabad district were told about socially significant diseases, measured blood pressure and gave medical advice and advice on proper nutrition, motor activity and a healthy lifestyle.
