Competition from WHO to World Antibiotic Awareness Week

On the eve of the World Antibiotic Awareness Week, which will be held from 12 to 18 November 2018, the WHO office in Uzbekistan is holding a contest for the best essay.

Theme of the essay: “Countering antibiotic resistance is our shared responsibility”.

Rules and necessary documents:

1. Each application must contain a cover page containing the student's name, address, telephone number and email address. We should be able to contact you.

2. Essays should be written on the topic above.

3. Essays will be checked for uniqueness in the Antiplagiat system

4. One essay per student.

5. Essays must be at least 250 words and no more than 800 words.

6. Essays MUST be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Essays presented in any other format will not be considered.

7. The essay can be written in Uzbek, Russian and English.

8. Essays should be emailed to who.contest@gmail.com

Second place - Fitness tracker (Fitness bracelet)

Third place - Power bank (Portable Battery)

Application Deadline:

The deadline for submitting an essay is 23:59 November 14, 2018. Later applications are not accepted.

The results of the competition will be announced at the conference dedicated to the World Week of correct use of antibiotics on November 17, 2018.

Venue: Akhborot Resource Markazi, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute.

Time: 14:30.

Admission is free for students of medical universities.

The conference will feature a WHO national focal point on AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance) with a presentation on the theme: “The Problem of Antimicrobial Resistance in Uzbekistan: Achievements, Opportunities and Challenges”.
