On July 7-9 this year, a delegation from Japan headed by a deputy of the House of Representatives of Japan, Parliamentary Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Hiroyuki Nakakmura arrives in Uzbekistan.

As part of the visit, today, July 8, the III Conference of Rectors of Uzbekistan and Japan is being held at Tashkent State University of Economics.

Rector of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Professor B.T. Daminov takes part in this conference.

The event is attended by a Japanese delegation of 45 people consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, rectors, vice-rectors and deans of faculties of such leading and prestigious universities as Nagoya, Mie, Tsukuba, Aichi and Wakayama.

The conference discussed issues of expanding cooperation in higher education in the areas of architecture and construction, engineering, technology, as well as social and humanitarian areas of education.
