The mobility experience of delegates from Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute in the framework of Tempus project UZHELTH

From February 27 to May 21, 2016, the training was organized by the project UZHELTH for representatives of each of the partner universities in four European cities (Pisa, Italy; Porto, Portugal; Nitra, Slovakia; Ghent, Belgium). The total number of participants was 20 people which included experts in the fields of medicine, veterinary science, agricultural industry and the environment. Our university was represented by the assistant of the Department of public health, organization and management of health, Guzalya Mamedova and a graduate student of chair of internal diseases Davron Muminov.

The main objective of the training was to study the basic competence of a specialist in public health from the use of knowledge in the field of veterinary medicine, agricultural industry and the environment. The first country visited by participants of the training, was Italy, Pisa. University of Pisa (Italian Università di Pisa.), which conducts training - school in Tuscany, Italy, one of the oldest universities in Europe, whose history can be traced from the XI century. University status has received September 3, 1343. Total number of students: about 57000, the number of faculties 11. In Italy, the main focus of the training was on the definition of basic concepts and terminologies for public health, functions, objectives and public health problems, and provides some guidelines that need to improve in this area. Lectures and workshops were carried out such as the professors Francesco Fornai, Gianfranco Natale, Riccardo Ruffoli, Francesco Di Iacovo, Alessandra Guidi and others.

Next country, which was attended by participants of the training, was Portugal, Porto city, the second largest (after Lisbon) in Portugal, the city, the district of the same name and the center of the municipality. The city is located 270 km north of the Portuguese capital of Lisbon. The historic center of Porto is located on the right bank of the Douro river, a few kilometers from the place of its confluence with the Atlantic Ocean. The city center is declared a UNESCO World cultural heritage. Classes are held at Porto University, the largest university in Portugal (about 29 thousand students) and 14 of its faculties are concentrated in the three campuses. Porto University maintains relations with more than 500 universities around the world. At the University of Porto, curriculum was built with a large emphasis in medical field. General education system was presented, as well as the structure of the educational process in the undergraduate and master's degree in the direction of public health. The brief tour of the organizational work of primary health care and basic principles of the Portuguese health system reform. The results of research conducted in the city of Porto on the study of basic socially significant diseases were presented.

Then we went to the city of Nitra, which is located in the west of Slovakia, in the Nitra River in the spurs of the mountain massif Tribec, about 90 km north-east of the capital Bratislava. The population is about 82,000 people, is the fifth largest city in the country. It is considered the oldest town in Slovakia - the first record about him appeared in the chronicles in 828 year. In honor of the city named the asteroid 9543 Nitra. Slovak Agricultural University, where training was conducted, is one of the leading higher education institutions in the Slovak Republic since its founding in 1952. Agricultural University is considered to be the center of agricultural education and science.The university has a solid base of accredited programs through which students gain fundamental knowledge. Each year, the university made no less than 250 research and educational projects. Since its foundation, the University has trained more than 60000 qualified specialists. In Slovakia, the main training emphasis on topical issues in the field of agriculture and veterinary medicine, and their impact on public health. Professor P. Massanyi of Nitra University presented the results of studies on the effect of heavy metals on the reproductive system of animals as well as humans.

The last city we visited was Ghent, Belgium, which has a population of about 240 000 people (2009). It is located 60 km from Brussels, lies at the confluence of the River Leie in Scheldt River. Port of Ghent, located in the north of the city, is the third largest in Belgium. Ghent University is one of the three major Flemish universities. The university has 11 faculties, which has about 38 thousand students and approximately 7 100 employees. In 2009, the University entered into the list of top 200 universities in the world, ranking 136 th. Professor Dirk Avonts held a series of lectures and workshops on the theme of the influence of environmental factors on human health. During the visit to Belgium, training participants visited the city of Antwerp, where they studied the influence of noise on health, as well as air pollution. All training participants receive certificates.
