InfoCom-2014 week will be held in the period of September 22-26
ICT Week of InfoCom-2014 is one of the main events of the ICT fields in Uzbekistan. This year InfoCom-2014 will be held from September 22 till 26. The participation of companies and experts of the ICT industry from more than 20 countries is expected.
Forum of programmers and Software Exhibition
“Bestsoft” Uzbekistan 2014"
BestSoft Uzbekistan 2014 is a specialized event of the software industry. On the 8th consecutive year the exhibition introduces to the general public and IT-specialists with the products of software industry in Uzbekistan.
Forum of programmers BestSoft Uzbekistan 2014 will bring together with the lead experts in the development and implementation of software products which will present their achievements and share their experiences.
The forums program includes presentations on the areas of "Business and entrepreneurship in the software industry", "Usage of the software to improve the efficiency of business processes", "Software systems in e-commerce", "Software systems in communications management," "Web Development: The Experience of successful projects. "
Within the forum exhibition, the issues of software products will be discussed. This year it will be attended by more than 40 companies. Domestic software companies are also participating in the exhibition -free of charge. The total area size of the exhibition stands be around 450m². The main subjects of the exhibition will cover the following issues: "Design Tools", "Project Implementation", "Education", "Information Security", "Multimedia and Design" and others.
BestSoft Uzbekistan 2014 will be held on September 22 at the Palace of Youth and Creativity.
Internet festival of national domain UZ 2014
Internet festival of national domain UZ 2014 was launched its duty on July 15. The festival takes place since 2007 in the aid of developing the resources of the national segment of the Internet network.
The main objective of the festival is the popularization of the Internet among the general public, the development of national content and expanding the scope of the Uzbek language in the Internet.
The winners will be selected by 10 theme subjects and 2 special nominations.
This year's festival is planning to hold a competition of domestic mobile app developers. For the first time the community pages will be marked in the social networks.
The summarization of results of the festival will be on September 22 at the Palace of Youth and Creativity.
Summit on Information and Communication Technologies - ICT Summit 2014
The purpose of the ICT Summit is to create a platform to demonstrate the achievements and capabilities of ICTs in various activities, trends in the development of information and field of communication, stimulating the development of ICT sphere in Uzbekistan and international cooperation.
The organizers of the ICT Summit 2014 will be: the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Information-Analytical Department of Information Systems and Telecommunications of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, State Committee for communication, information and telecommunication technologies, Association of Enterprises and Organizations of Uzbekistan and publication of ICTNEWS.
Annually the ICT Summit gathers the key sector participants of Uzbekistan, CIS and other countries, who are interested in establishing contacts and partnerships, discuss the latest developments and exchange views on the issues of the ICT development.
This year in the ICT Summit will be taking part more than 500 delegates from Uzbekistan and other countries.
ICT Summit will be held in three mainstreams: "ICT in the public sector", "ICT for business" and "Internet and Information Resources."
ICT Summit will be held on September 23 in the International Business Centre.
Internet contest among the youth MIT.UZ
On September 23 in the "Turkistan" Palace, the Internet contest among youth MIT.UZ will hold an award ceremony.
The purpose of the following contest is to promote the creation of new, as well as stimulating and developing the existing Internet resources for the states youth.
This years contest is held within 10 major and 4 additional nominations. It is open for the participation of young people aged by 14 to 30 years. Entry projects will be evaluated not only by judges, but also by the Internet users.
ICT Expo 2014
The annual international exhibition of information technologies ICT Expo this year will be held from 24 to 26 September in parallel to three cities: Tashkent, Urgench and Gulistan. The idea of the exhibition in three cities is simultaneously dictated by the desire to show increased regional level of penetration of information technologies.
During the exhibition there will be organized video links that will allow visitors to familiarize themselves with all the participants of the exhibitions at the same time.
The exhibition is organized with the official support of the State Committee for Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On the stands of ICTExpo 2014 will be demonstrated the latest technologies and solutions available on the market of information technologies and services. In the exhibition will participate local and international companies which are specializing in the production of high-tech products in the fields of information technology: mobile phone companies, system integration, software development, service providers and data communications and etc.
As an important thematic section of the exhibition this year will be the mainstream of technology "Electronic Government". Its exponents will present the best samples completed projects of the "Electronic Government". It is expected that the exhibition will promote effective solutions in this area.
Program ICT Expo 2014 includes a wide range of educational seminars, round table discussions and entertainment activities.
It is planned that in three days the exhibition will be visited by about 35 thousand people.
Roundtable discussion on development of ISP and domestic content
in Uzbekistan
On September 24 at 3:00 PM in the exhibition centre "Kurgazma savdo Markazi" a round table discussion will be held, by addressing the matter of the development of ISP and domestic content in Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the State Committee for Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, "Uzbektelecom" and Internet providers will discuss the issues of providing an access to the Internet and further development of UzNet.
International Workshop "Issues concerning the legal regulation processes for further development of the information environment on a platform of “e-government”.
On September 26 in the business centre "Poytakht" will host the international seminar on the "Issues of legislative regulation of processes of further development of the information environment on a platform of" e-government ".
As the organizers of the seminar will be the Institute for Monitoring Current Legislation under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the State Committee for Communications, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Within the seminar there will be discussed the issues of improving the processes of legal regulation and introduction of the principles and development of "e-government", likewise the organization of the activities aimed on the widespread use of the system of state and public management of modern information and communication technologies.
By summarizing the results of the seminar there will be developing proposals for the projects of progressing laws that define the infrastructure requirements and the integration of existing and emerging systems of information systems and databases of the state bodies within the "e-Government"
Final championship of Uzbekistan in e-sports Uzbekistan
Cyber Games 2014
On September 29 in Tashkent will host the finals of the Championship of Uzbekistan in e-sports Uzbekistan Cyber Games 2014. It the following championship will participate the winners of the regional competitions.
Uzbekistan Cyber Games Championship is carried out in the country for 10 years. The winners of the national championships protect the honour of their country at the World Championships World Cyber Games in the United States, Singapore, Italy, Germany and China.
On the IV Asian Games AIMAG 2013 in South Korea, the national team of Uzbekistan in e-sport has taken the second place team by winning a gold and a silver medal.
Shares of the ICT Week InfoCom-2014
Within the framework of the ICT Week will take place a number of actions to promote information and communication technology among different categories of the public.

Charity event "Information technology to the youth!"
The charity event which is held under the ICT Week since 2008, aims at enhancing young generation’s access to the latest information technologies.
During the campaign it is planned to organize donations of computer classes in the educational institutions of Uzbekistan. Efforts of ISPs the following class is provided with free internet access.
The Universidad in computer sports «ICT-STUDENT»
«ICT-STUDENT» is a competition between teams of students of educational institutions specializing in training in the fields of information technology.
The contest was established by the State Committee for communication, information and communication technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
Teams of universities and colleges will compete in three competitions: build a computer for a certain amount of time - the individual and team event, the creation of a secure local area network (twisted pair) at a certain amount of time - team classification, creating thematic WebPages on the same topic - team standings.
Determination of winners will be held on September 25th in Tashkent, in the exhibition hall "Kurgazma savdo Markazi."
On September 19 in anticipation of the openings of the ICT Week in the Museum of the History of Communications will hold a press conference on the opening week of ICT InfoCom-2014.
ICT Week InfoCom-2014 is officially supported by the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on information and communication technologies and the State Committee for Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
ICT Week will serve as further of the development of the ICT industry in Uzbekistan and strengthen international cooperation in this field.
