ACCESS TO SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION
AND PUBLICATION ACTIVITY
1st national scientific-educational forum

24 March in framework of I Uzbekistan Forum (23-25 March 2016) in the Innovation Center of Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute was held a MASTER CLASS for students. The organizers of the Master class acted in the face of TPMI rector, Professor B. T. Daminov and ProQuest companies, CJSC "KONEK" and "E-linepress" the Aim of the event was to raise the quality of research and publication activity in medical universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the participants in the Master class with the world's sources of scientific and educational information and opportunities of publications in top journals. As the target groups were representatives of medical schools and medical libraries under the Ministry of health.

Topics for discussion in coordination with the scientific Department of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute have been selected:

• Access national research and educational institutions to resources on ProQuest 2016
• Improving the efficiency and quality of scientific publications and doctoral theses.
• Science-metrics. Science-metric tools and their development in Uzbekistan.

Master class from the company ProQuest Database "ProQuest Dissertations & Theses: the thematic content and the functionality of the resource, the project for the publication of works of scientists of Uzbekistan" was conducted by Elena Alexandrovna Yeronina, Director of the Department of electronic resources CJSC "KONEK" - the official representative of ProQuest company in the CIS countries.

Overall the Master class was held in a businesslike manner and caused a number of interesting questions and discussions. Participants agreed on regular meetings and on a deeper trainings and seminars on the use of electronic databases in medicine.
