"We all remember that 19 years ago at the initiative of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the founder of our independent state, Islam Karimov, this date was declared a national holiday as an expression of high respect for your selfless work. The head of state, who considered the formation of a healthy and harmoniously developed generation the most important condition of building the great future of Uzbekistan, providing you great confidence and reverence as his closest associates, for all of us was a caring teacher and demanding mentor," - said Shavkat Mirziyoev.

"Islam Karimov is to us the brightest example of how to live with a sense of great love and devotion to the Motherland, selflessly to serve his people, giving all their strength, knowledge and experience," he said.
