In the Palace of international forums “Uzbekistan” on January 13 held a solemn event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Armed forces and the January 14 – the Motherland defenders Day.

It was attended by senators and deputies, government members, soldiers and sergeants, officers, generals, veterans of the Armed Forces, the parents, members of the public.

The solemn event was opened by the hokim of Tashkent city R. Usmonov.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme commander of the Armed Forces, Shavkat Mirziyoev congratulated defenders of the Motherland in connection with the 25th anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the decree of the First President of our country Islam Karimov on September 6, 1991 was established, the Ministry of defence. In accordance with the decree of the President dated 14 January 1992, all military units stationed on the territory of the Republic, was placed under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This historic date – 14 January is widely marked in our country as the Day of Motherland defenders.

The solemn event ended with a gala concert.
