A Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between Tashkent pediatric medical institute and the South Korean University - Ajou University.

On April 23, the delegation of the University of Ajou (Korea) visited Tashkent pediatric medical institute. The delegation included University President, Park Hyeong Ju, vice-president of medicine and director of the clinic of the Ajou University, Professor Heu Sug Ryu, vice president of the University of Ajou - Professor Tu Heusuk, Professor of the Department of International Studies - Cho Zhung-hoon and university professors - Kwon Yong Zhin and Kwon Sun Zhong.

Within the framework of this visit, Tashkent hosted a meeting of the rector of the Tashkent pediatric medical institute, Professor B.T. Daminova and President of the Ajou University - Professor Park Hyeong Ju.

In the beginning, B.T. Daminov welcomed the delegation of the Republic of Korea on behalf of the institute: "We are glad to welcome you, we hope that our first meeting will become the basis for fruitful cooperation". Speaking of cooperation, B.T. Daminov noted that the world is evident achievements in the field of medicine and health, achieved by the Republic of Korea.

In response, Park Hyung-Joo thanked the leadership of the Tashkent pediatric medical institute for his willingness to cooperate, noting that TashPMI is one of the most famous medical universities in the Central Asian region and the only educational institution that prepares pediatricians in Central Asia. Also, the head of the South Korean university expressed the hope that cooperation in all the proposed areas will be fruitful for doctors from Korean and Uzbek university clinics and medical centers.

During the meeting, prospects and opportunities for mutual cooperation, exchange of experience, students and faculty were discussed.

As a result of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between Tashkent pediatric medical institute and Ajou University (Korea), where the parties agreed to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of medical education.

The universities will carry out joint cooperation in the following areas: the development of joint research programs; use of research infrastructures; exchange of curricula and scientific information; organization of bilateral joint symposia, seminars and conferences; exchange of students for the study of educational programs; carrying out of specialized and complex programs for post-graduate students.

The signing of this Memorandum will contribute to the promotion of international best practices in the field of research and teaching in the field of medical education. Cooperation involves the development and implementation of joint educational programs and scientific projects, the development of academic mobility in order to achieve high standards of quality of medical education.

At the end of the meeting, the sides exchanged memorable gifts and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
