"Reception - 2018: transparency, honesty, equity criteria and innovative approach" - this was the theme of the regular session of the International Press Club. The session, which took place in the format of a video-conference meeting, analyzed the processes of admission to higher education institutions and preparation for testing.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the State Testing Center, the State Inspection for Quality Control of Education, the rectors of the universities of the capital. The rectors and responsible workers of the higher educational institutions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions were contacted through local studios.

The total number of quotas for the baccalaureate for the 2018/2019 academic year is 69 thousand 200. Of these, 17 thousand 654 were allocated for training on state grants, 51 546 places on a contract-based basis. In the magistracy will be accepted 5 thousand 903 people, of which for training on state grants one thousand 552, on a fee-contract basis - 4 thousand 351 people.

The cost of tuition at correspondence and evening departments of higher educational institutions will be determined in the amount not less than the cost of training at the daytime department of the corresponding baccalaureate. As a whole, 675 thousand 49 entrants passed documents in 60 institutions of higher education and 19 branches throughout the country.

The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education has done a lot of work with the aim of receiving documents and professional (creative) examinations at a high level and ensuring the principles of fairness and transparency of this process, creating the necessary conditions for entrants and their parents. It is determined that the entrance examinations to universities in the areas of education, which are accepted on the basis of professional (creative) exams without testing, will be held from July 25 to August 10 this year.

With a view to fair and transparent conduct of a professional (creative) exam in areas requiring creative skills, this year for the first time in public institutions public control was established with the participation of deputies and parents of entrants.

At the session, for the first time in the history of higher educational institutions, the Rectors' Address was presented and adopted.

In the text of the appeal it is noted that applicants should rely only on their knowledge: "As you can see, the country's youth creates all the conditions for the formation and acquisition of professions. Today you decided to go to school, get a profession, use your knowledge, skills, do it to be worthy of the trust of the President who created these conditions for you. Seriously prepare for testing and be ready to take the entrance examinations in accordance with your knowledge. "

At the same time, parents are also called for honesty. "Unfortunately, the worldview of swindlers and scammers does not change. They still live in the old way, they dream of getting easy profit by dishonest means. Be vigilant, do not get into their network, "says the appeal. People say: "to clap - you need two hands." According to the relevant chapters of the Law on Corruption, both the bribe taker and the bribe-taker bear equal responsibility before the law and are certainly punished. If you want to help your child, do not allow inappropriate and hidden actions! Remember, an inappropriate step along this path in time can negatively affect the future of your child. "
