October 4, 2018 in the Conference Hall of the Information-Resource Center of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute (TPMI), the Alumni Association of the KOFIH program of study organized a conference forum on the subject of “Professional collective prevention of suicides caused by depression - dedicated to the World Day of Suicide Prevention”. Professors of the event are: Kh. Perlieva - Chief Suicidologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, N.I. Khodzhaeva - Professor of the Department of Psychiatry of the Tashkent Medical Academy (TMA), Sh.Sh. Magzumova - Depressiologist, Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, TMA, S.R. Suleymanov - Chief Child Psychiatrist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, V.K. Abdullaeva - Head of the Department of Psychiatry TPMI. 5 KOFIH Global Alumnies and KOFIH regional representatives actively participated in the conference forum: Ha Yeon Oh and Dr. Sebastian.

The conference forum began it’s work from 8:00 with registration of the participants until 9:00. More than 250 students from three medical organizations have registered, there are TPMI - 138, TMA - 102 and from the Tashkent Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education - 24, a total of 264 participants. All participants were in integrative areas of psychiatry and all were pre-surveyed.

Thus, at 9:00 am, the conference-forum was opened by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the TPMI K.N. Khaitov. In his speech, the Vice-Rector noted that this topic is very relevant in medicine, society and politics of Uzbekistan. Thanking the organizers of the event, the Vice-Rector noted that such a format of the conference forum would be held for the first time and would be very enthusiastic about participating in the reports and discussions.

After that, a presentation on the topic “Features of suicide” was presented by the Chief Suicidologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Further, on the topic “Peculiarities of suicide in childhood”, the Chief children psychiatrist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan made a report. The next, the professors made their reports.

Thus, according to the program of the forum, 10:00, the discussion of the participants’ questions began. Discussed issues of prevention, rehabilitation, treatment, and socio-psychological aspects of the suicidology. At the end of the first part of the forum, the representative of KOFIH rescued grateful gifts for professors.

From 11:30 the forum participants switched to a coffee break and 12:00 began the second part of the forum where professors summarized and made conclusions on the conference-forum.

At the end, all participants received certificates and they are went after the forum questionnaire to determine the implementation of the participants' skills on suicide prevention. According to the results of the survey, it was known that 92.8% (245) of the participants 100% answered for 10 questions of the questionnaire correctly.

Thus, regulating the conference forum, we can say that success has been achieved. Subjective sympathy of the event was very positive.
