The President signed a decree about the celebration of Navruz

On February 24, the President Islam Karimov signed a decree about «Preparation and holding of the national holiday Navruz 2014». The full text of the document in Uzbek is in UzA webpages. In this resolution, the important place and effect of Navruz in the spiritual life of people, and also the role of this ancient holiday in awakening the feelings of kindness and mercy in the hearts of people, strengthening the atmosphere of mutual respect and consent in the society, education of the young generation in the spirit of national values and traditions are underlined. The organizing Committee and creative group is approved for preparation and holding Navruz holiday. The organizing Committee and its territorial divisions will develop and implement a plan of the celebration of Navruz in the form of nationwide festivities in all cities, regions and villages of the country under the motto of «Xar kunimiz Navro’z bo’lsin!» («Let our everyday be Navruz!»).
