The museum exhibits include works by Western European and Russian artists (from the collection of Grand Duke N. K. Romanov ), paintings by the museum from other sources, as well as works by artists of Uzbekistan. Including, for example:

  • A sample of salon painting is “The Bather ”, written by the Russian artist of Italian origin, quite popular at the time in St. Petersburg , A.F. Belloli ;
  • Painting of the artist Z.M. Kovalevskaya “ Portrait of the People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Pavel Petrovich Benkov ”;
  • Painting by artist A.A. Abdullaev "Portrait of the USSR People's Artist Abror Khidoyatov as Otello" ;
  • Painting by G. I. Ulko “National Master of Uzbekistan U. Dzhurakulov” ;
  • Painting by artist P. P. Benkov “Old Tashkent. The past ;
  • Painting by Z. M. Kovalevskaya "Yard" ;
  • Painting by N. N. Karazin "Falconry" ;
  • Painting by the artist Nikolai Sverchkov (1817-1898) “On the Hunt” , 1871;
  • Painting by Vasily Vereshchagin "Opium-eaters" , 1867;
  • Painting by Ivan Shishkin "The Forest Mill ", 1897.

Western European art in the museum is represented by the visual and applied art of Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Flanders, Holland and England. Works exhibited in 9 rooms.

  • The collection of Italian painting XVI is represented by works of artists such as U. Domenichino, D. Salvi , P. Vecchi. Italian paintings of the second half of the 17th and 18th centuries are represented by the paintings of B. Schedone, A. Canaletto , M. Marieschi , D. Panini .
  • French painting of the 17th century is represented by paintings by artists F. Champen, P. Minyar, F. Van der Meulen. French art of the 18th — 19th centuries is represented by canvases by S. Van Loo , N. Lancre , C. Latour , F. Gerard , S. Frere , L. Tesson, E. Maskre and others.
  • Among the works of German artists are the landscapes of L. Schoenberger and R. Vollmar.
  • Collection of paintings of the Netherlands XV — XVI centuries. It is represented by canvases by an unknown artist of the school of I. Bosch, the works of G. Honthorst , F. Pourbus , F. Floris . The Flemish artists of the 16th — 17th centuries are represented by paintings by anonymous artists of the circle J. Bruegel and A. Brouwer , canvases by D. Teniers , J. Feith and others.
  • Dutch still life is represented in the work of Jan van Heisum . In the Dutch collection are also B. van der Helst and Jan van Looten. The gallery exhibits the work of an anonymous painter attributed to Jan Stenu .
  • The art of England is represented by the works of D. Dow and X. Robertson.

Recall that the Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan was founded in 1918 as the Museum of the National University, later the Central Art Museum, from 1924 - the Tashkent Museum of Arts, from 1935 - the Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan. To this day, it contains a rich collection of paintings from the collection of Grand Duke NK Romanov.
