Department of "X-ray and Radiology" was founded in 1972 at the clinic of the Central Asian Medical Pediatric Institute, founder of the Department - Professor Talat Mirzaevich Mirzaev. In 2000, the department reorganized in the course of "Clinical radiology," which was headed by Associate Professor Lobar Hamidovna Rasuleva.  In  2005 the course joined in the  department of "General Surgery." Since 2007, the course heads Associate Gulnora Akmalovna Yusupalieva. In 2008, the course joined  in the department of  "Traumatology, orthopedics, pediatric traumatology and orthopedics, neurosurgery, Clinical radiology." Since 2010 was a member of the department "Ambulatory medicine, clinical radiology". Since 2017 at the head DSc. G.A. Yusupalieva the Department of "Medical radiology" was founded.
The course is equipped with modern computer technologies and diagnostic devices.
