History of the Department Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Child gynecology Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute was founded August 20, 1972. The first head of the department, was elected Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Honored Worker of Science of Uzbekistan A. Kadyrov. Teaching staff of the department consists of 10 members - Professors Cohen IS, N. Mamedov, assistant MD Hasandzhanova RM, Pankov, EN, Yusupov AZ, Zakhidov DV Gafurova MG Rizaeva GT, Karapetova AA PhD. Kadyrova AA the department has been actively pursued scientific and practical work: Prepared 2 doctors and 10 candidates of medical sciences. 

From 1974 to 1981 he headed the Department Associate Professor Cohen IS.

From 1981 to 1987y.y. and from 1992 to 1997 directed the Department of Associate Zakhidov DV This period is associated with the restructuring of educational activities in the education system: the transition to test the rating system of assessing students.

In the period 1987-1992 gg chair was Professor Khodjaeva AD, under her leadership conducted productive educational and methodical work and medical work.
