The Palace of international forums saw a solemn meeting devoted to the 24th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 7 December.
President-elect of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev, addressing the participants, summed up the expiring year and proposed to declare the year 2017 as the Year of dialogue with the people and human interests.
The tradition to announce the name of the next year and identify priority areas for further development during the celebration of the Constitution Day dates back to 1997.
