For the first time in Uzbekistan, scientists and institutions leading the most effective activity were awarded, according to the version of the scientific and analytical information base «Scopus».
The ceremony of awarding the best Uzbek scientist "Scopus Award" took place at the Tashkent State Economic University. The contribution of scientists to the development of science was assessed according to citation in the reviewed scientific literature.
The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education together with the publishing company «Elsevier» published the names of the leading Uzbek scientists and institutions on the basis of statistical data from the world's largest scientific and analytical information base «Scopus».
Winners of "Scopus award-2018":
- Nomination «Researcher of the Year» - Dilshod Tulaganov (Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent), Temurbek Usmanov, Bobomurod Akhmedov (Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan);
- Nominations «High Performance award» - National University of Uzbekistan;
- Nomination «Outstanding Research Impact Award» - Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan;
- Nomination «Growth of the Year» - Tashkent pediatric medical institute;
- Nomination «Breakthrough of the Year» - Tashkent Institute of Irrigation Engineers and Agricultural Mechanization;
- Nomination «Library of the Year» - Samarkand State University;
- Nomination «Contribution to Science» - Tashkent State Economic University;
- Nomination «The youngest scientist» - Mirabbaos Khozhamberdiev;
- Nomination «Women in Science» - Shahlo Turdikulova.
The award ceremony took place on November 23 of this year in Tashkent with the participation of directors and heads of leading rating agencies such as «QS», «Times Higher Education», «Elsevier» and foreign experts.
Diplomas and statuettes were presented to the winners by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov and presidential adviser Abdujabbar Abduvahitov.
Within the framework of the event, the first scientific forum was held, at which workshops were held on writing articles, indexing scientific journals and methods of joining international rankings.
