Uzbekistan to celebrate Kurban Hayit on 1 September

On 24 August the President of Uzbekistan signed a Resolution "On celebrating Kurban Hayit". Taking into account the appeal of administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan on the coincidence of the first day of Eid al-Adha with September 1 (Friday), September 1 was declared a holiday.
