In Uzbekistan, tax privileges and preferences for individual entrepreneurs will be gradually abolished. "Everyone should be equal," the President said.
Uzbekistan will gradually give up tax benefits and preferences to create a fair tax regime for all market participants. This was stated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his annual address to Parliament on Friday.
"By reducing the tax burden, it is necessary to create a single fair tax regime for all. We must gradually abolish tax incentives, because the tax benefits provided have a negative impact on the competitive environment, and entrepreneurs themselves recognize this. Everyone should be equal. The market is tough, but there must be equal opportunities for all. Then we will be able to produce competitive, export - oriented products", - said the head of the country.
The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to develop a road map within two months. "We have everything ready, but we should not hurry. Why is two months given? Proposals may be received, including from foreign partners, " the President said. Shavkat Mirziyoyev pointed to the large volume of the shadow economy. "Everyone knows. The only way to combat the shadow economy is to reduce the tax burden, create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs and investors," he stressed.
The head of state also noted that now legislators should adopt laws of direct action. "To adopt a law, and then by-laws and another 20 documents-it is not suitable. This has a direct impact on corruption," said the President.
